The family has three disabled members, one partially blind, and another completely blind.

All the family members were born healthy and totally okay, but became disabled after attaining age 35.

Their story hit the airwaves after last month, after journalists from KTN visited the area and covered their struggles.

During an interview with KTN, the family explained the challenges, adding that it was extremely difficult for them to relieve themselves due to their disabilities.

Following the interview, a lot of people from the country flocked their home with food stuff and other gifts.

Speaking on Monday after presenting the toilet to the family, Jemimah Muthama, wife to former Machakos senator Johnson Muthama, said she learnt about the condition of the family, and felt the need to help them.

She promised to help the blind girl enroll in the Kenya school for the blind, to be able to acquire skills.

The family led by their mother Rose Nduku thanked donors for remembering them at their time of need.

"I'm so glad that we have gotten help after years of suffering, we felt alone and dejected but the sun has shone on us. We thank everyone who helped us, knowing well that we can't help them in any way," said Nduku.
