Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti has rubbished claims that police have been compromised in the ongoing investigations into the shooting of former Garissa Finance Executive Idris Mukhtar.
Kinoti says that they are working around the clock to unravel the truth in the attempted murder.
Kinoti says that they will pursue justice no matter how long it takes.
He said that all people of interest in the case have recorded statements with the police.
“Let all those concerned know that we are a professional agency and we will do our work in fairness and guarantee justice,” the DCI said.
Kinoti said that the case has now be taken over by the homicide department.
