Kisii County Governor James Ongwae on Tuesday revealed top leaders who will accompany President Uhuru Kenyatta to Kisii on Wednesday.
Ongwae while speaking in Kisii town said former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and powerful minister Fred Matiang'i will be among the top leaders to accompany the Head of State to Kisii trip.
"Hon. Raila Odinga and Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i are the top leaders who will be with the President during his trip to Kisii on Wednesday. Residents should turn up in large numbers to welcome the Head of State," he said.
The vocal governor assured that Mr. Kenyatta will address members of the public because he will be making stops.
"Uhuru will make stopovers to address people. Residents should come out in large numbers to welcome him," said Ongwae.
He assured that security will be tight before, during and after the President's trip.
The county boss said the President will commission various projects at Kisii Teaching and referral hospital including a mortuary which will be now accommodating 100 bodies from the previous 20 bodies and doctors' hostel.
