Elgeyo Marakwet County Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has hitted at the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga for calling President Uhuru Kenyatta a 'mchawi'.
In a recent video he shared on his twitter account, the Elgeyo Marakwet senator said that the former Prime Minister is a political conman who preaches peace while at the same time attack the man they made peace with.
Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta joined hands together in a famous handshake that saw the end of political unrest in the country after the August 2017 general elections.
Senator Murkomen attacks Raila Odinga days after Deputy President William Ruto attacked him while on his trip of Mombasa.
Raila Odinga can be heard from the video attacking Jubilee Party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta for going into the repeat presidential race without their opponents.
“Kama wewe unakimbia pekee yako kama mchawi usiku, umeshinda nani? umeshinda nani? Kuna mtu umeshinda? Mchawi anashindanga nani? Si yeye anamejishinda mwenyewe. Yeye dio namba one na vile vile yeye dio bottom,” said Raila Odinga.
Senator Murkomen posted this video which he captioned: “It’s political conmanship to preach handshake & the same time call the President mchawi (witch).”
His tweet received mixed reactions from residents with a large number of them attacking him. Most of them reminded him of the maize problems back at his home.
