The two leaders have differed over the alleged Ksh. 21 billion scandals in the Kimwarer and Arror multi-purpose dams project in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has also joined the war as it remains unclear who is telling the truth about the project.

Karua on Sunday attacked Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah for claiming that the Public Procurement Act is very clear as far as contracts are concerned in regard to the project.

The lawmaker said there is no way the bank could guarantee payment of such amount of money without following the required procedures. The statement of the lawmaker, which he made during an interview on KTN, did not augur well with Karua.

Karua, who once contested for the Presidency, said that the lawmaker is pretending to know more than the Director of Criminal Investigations when it comes to matters of loss of public funds.

She urged the lawmaker to leave the office of DPP Noordin Haji to undertake its duties before he can talk about the same.

"So this MP knows more than @DCI_Kenya who are investigating the matter?" she tweeted.

The differences between the two come after Deputy William Ruto maintained that no cash has been lost in the project as claimed by Raila and other leaders from the opposition.

Ruto accused his rivals of using the project to frustrate him.
