For the second week in a row, outspoken Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati left politicians perhaps more worried of his latest moves.

Barely five months after self-installation as Gusii spokesman, Arati is making his weight felt through the usual Nairobi stylistic politics that involves rhetoric and goonism.

Last Sunday, Simba caused a stir when President Uhuru Kenyatta visited Kisii only to find youths colonising air with pro-Arati slogans.

At Gusii stadium, the scenario was more less the same as ODM leader Raila Odinga made entry amid pro-Arati slogans.

While delivering his speech, Raila was at times interrupted by rowdy youths enthusiastic of Arati as some called for his endorsement.

The latest signs indicate that the second term ODM MP will no longer participate in city politics as sources say he's keen to succeed Governor James Ongwae.

"I don't know why people are panicking. I am only trying to organise my community.

"When time to compete comes, I'll let everyone know about my moves," he said.

His entry to the race could complicate matrix for Deputy Governor Joash Maangi who is riding on Ongwae'e legacy.

Also keen to succeed Ongwae include Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka and Road CAS Chris Obure.
