Nairobi county speaker Beatrice Elachi, who has been unceremoniously hounded out of office MCAs, has come out to defend herself.
Elachi has claimed that the MCAs want her out because of foreign trips and monetary favours.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, the outspoken speaker cried foul on the manner she was kicked out.
"I want to plead with members that this is just about money, because if I had the money we would have had very good relationships," she said.
The furious MCAs on Monday stormed her office in a bid to eject her, but Elachi had already left her office.
The Majority leader Abdi Guyo said that, they were tired of Elachi and they were determined to see her out of office.
“If your employer is not satisfied with your job and has sent you packing you've got no business to impose yourself,” said Mr Guyo.
Ms Elachi however called for due legal processes to be followed for to be removed from office.
"I cannot force myself on Nairobians, but if I have done wrong the County Government Act is clear," she said.
