Uasin Senator Prof. Margaret Jepkoech Kamar is set to be feted by a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Work Her Dream (WHDO).

Kamar was nominated to receive the award on November 30 by WHDO. 

The award presentation ceremony is scheduled for December 22 at the Boman Inn Hotel, Eldoret. 

In a post on WHOD official Facebook page, Kamar was considered for the award on a number of reasons. 

She was recognised for her positive impact on the WHDO girls and other children in Kenya to pursue their extension and dreams. 

Kamar was also considered for a reward for the impact in advocating for access to education as the chairperson in Senate Education committee.

"For her exemplary work in the field of education and agriculture in Kenya and other parts of Africa. She has shown a passionate commitment over the years in empowering girls and transforming communities through education," reads part of the post

"She has made notable achievements in the advancement of quality education in Kenya and her office has been open and a great help to WHDO," adds the post.

WHDO is a non-governmental organisation in Kenya that was registered in 2016. Its mission is to promote education, improve population and culture. 

Furthermore, WHDO promotes reproduction health and mitigate the effect of HIV/Aids as well as drug addition among girl child.
