A middle-aged man was on Monday killed in a love triangle.
The incident occurred at Chobiri village in Nyabiosi sub-location, Masaba North in Nyamira County.
Confirming the incident, Keroka OCPD Walter Apondo noted that the deceased, Duke Nyamora, has been having an affair with Ann Nyaboke, a married woman.
Apondo said Nyaboke's husband found Nyamora with Nyaboke in bed before he attacked him.
"Nyamora had been warned several times to stop chasing after Nyaboke in vain. Nyaboke's husband, a bodaboda rider, returned home to eat lunch only to find the two making love in his matrimonial bed," said Apondo, as reported by Egesa FM.
The OCPD said Nyaboke's husband descended on Nyamora with kicks and blows before members of the public rushed to the homestead to rescue the victim.
The police boss said Nyamora was rushed to Gucha Hospital for treatment where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
"During the attack Nyamora sustained injuries on his forehead and backbone. He died at the hospital before medics could attend to him. His body was moved to the facility's morgue," stated Apondo.
Apondo warned residents against taking the law into their own hands.
