Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has been asked to scale down his attacks on President Uhuru Kenyatta.
That appeal was made by his Cherangany counterpart Joshua Kutuny on Tuesday.
Kutuny urged Ngunjiri to seek to have the issues that he has with the president addressed in a cordial manner instead of mounting attacks in the media.
"I would like to urge him as my brother to reduce his verbal attacks on the head of state. Love the president. The chance has presented itself today for you to approach the president and tell him whatever issues you have. (Mimi ningependa kumbembeleza kwamba tafadhali punguza cheche za maneno dhidi ya rais. Mpende rais. Kama kuna maneno uko nayo kwa rais nafasi leo imepatikana, mwongeleshe rais kwa utaratibu)," Joshua Kutuny said.
The Bahati legislator has in recent weeks subjected the head of state to blistering criticism, accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta of restricting the freedom of speech.
The president was in Bahati on Tuesday and addressed the sustained attacks he had been subjected to by the area MP.
Mr Ngunjiri is part of the Tangatanga outfit, a political group of allies of Deputy President Dr William Ruto.
The Tangatanga politicians have been complaining about what they describe as persecution because of their political positions on issues and their public support for DP Ruto.
