Building Bridges Initiative team had its term extended and will go around educating people about the recommendations before getting more suggestions.

Already, the team has recommended a Prime Minister post, whose occupant will serve at the mercy of the President and parliament.

In a phone interview on Wednesday with ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire, he said the party largely supports most of the recommendations.

However, the PM seat as it is, he said, most members are of the opinion that it's strengthened to match other parliamentary governments.

"Clearly, as a party, we support most of the details in the report for instance more allocations to the county governments and having ministers coming from Parliament," he said.

"However, most of the party members are of the opinion that the PM as proposed is too weak. We shall present our further proposals to see if it can be strengthened," he added.

According to the former Kitutu Masaba MP, the PM should be allowed to led government business. He said the party believes the post will curb electoral violence.

However, Bosire insisted that it's just a proposal which will be viewed with other suggestions before an amicable solution is found.

"This process is not for ODM alone. When others bring suggestions, the team shall dissect and give the way forward. It's not a must our view is taken in."

Mr Bosire said the party will embark on national sensitization campaigns on BBI report next year before the final draft is made.

He said that the final resolutions can only be ratified through a referendum, adding that the party will not front parliamentary initiative.
