Speaking at a fundraising function in Nandi county on Saturday, the Garissa Township MP pledged to rally other leaders to support Ruto to clinch the country's top seat.

In a video shared on Facebook, Duale, however, warned that there will be leaders from Rift Valley region who would be hellbent in sabotaging the mission of ensuring Ruto becomes president.

He argued that some of them could be bribed, while others could be empowered with negative propaganda to tarnish the name of the DP.

Duale further called on all Rift Valley residents to support Ruto's 2022 ambitions.

"Tunataka Bonde la Ufa isimame imara mbele ya kiongozi wao (We want Rift Valley residents to stand firm behind their leader,") he said.

The vocal legislator also denied the existence of divisions and imminent fall out within the Jubilee party and noted that the party is still united under the leadership of President Uhuru and his deputy.

According to Duale, the entire party leadership had agreed to shove aside politics and deliver on campaign pledges until 2022.

Furthermore, the lawmaker alleged that Uhuru would lead Ruto's presidential campaigns in 2022.

"Ikifika wakati, rais mwenyewe atavaa jesi ya Jubilee na kuwa campaign manager number one wa mheshimiwa William Ruto. (When the time comes, the president himself will be William Ruto's number one campaigner)," noted Duale.
