Residents of Manyatta Transformer Slum, Magadi area in Kisumu County woke up on Wednesday morning to the shocking news that a man was attacked and killed by a couple in the area.
The incident happened on the night of Tuesday after the man confronted the alleged neighbours for pouring dirty water in front of his household, Citizen reports.
A confrontation ensued between the deceased and the man in the neighboured leading to a fight. The wife to the neighbour allegedly then came to the aid of her husband and attacked the deceased using a blunt object from the back rendering him lifeless, witness recounts.
"When they started fighting, the attacker's wife was seated at the door and was in possession of a piece of wood. When we were in the process of trying to separate the two who were fighting, the wife came through and attacked the deceased with a piece of wood at the back of his head," Joshua Odhiambo, brother to the deceased said.
The couple had initially fled after the incident leaving their children behind and police launched their search. However, the lady later surrendered herself at Kondele police station in Kisumu County, NTV reports.
The couple is said to have stayed in the area for just 4 months until the incident happened. The body of the deceased was taken to Jaramogi Mortuary.
