An Eldoret lady was on Friday evening left in shame as her short light dress was lifted from her body by the windy rain leaving her half-naked. Maureen Wanjiku who was trying hard to keep her clothes on her body was not lucky as the rain grew stronger.

The lady's sister Diana Nyambura, who had taken shelter under a roadside shop and watched her sister undergo the shame, said Wanjiku had been warned against wearing short dresses.

"She has been warned a lot of times against wearing such dresses but she doesn't listen. Almost all her clothes are short. She is a proud lady and always wants to look classy," Nyambura narrated.

The two sisters who were obviously not on good terms had been sent to Eldoret West market for shopping when the heavy rain descended.

Wanjiku had chosen not to take shelter at the roadside 'kiosks'. Lucky for her, a good Samaritan lady ran to her with an umbrella and a 'shuka'.

The experience will no doubt be a good lesson to ladies who like dressing in extremely short dresses.
