After over two months of waiting, Nyamira residents will now have Governor John Nyagarama back from US where he had gone for medical checkup.
In May, Nyagarama handed over to his deputy Amos Nyaribo, who has been temporarily in charge.
Director Communication Kefa Miller said the ODM second term governor will land at JKIA minutes after 2pm on Monday.
"I want to confirm that the governor will on Monday afternoon. He is of good health and we shall receive him at JKIA.
"Top on his agenda is burial of his son, Ndemo Nyagarama, who will be laid to rest on Friday at Borabu scheme," he said.
Hundreds of the governor's supporters traveled to Nairobi to welcome him back with a mega meeting planned at Imara Daima.
"Those within the city you are welcome at Imara Daima as we wait to welcome the governor," wrote Nyambega Gisesa, another communication team member.
Back at the county, Nyagarama will be dealing with medics strike among many more challenges. He will be landing just 24 hours after Barack Obama's arrival.
