In a 4-hour meeting at Weston Hotel, reports the Standard, the MPs through Cherangany legislator Joshua Kutuny warned that the two will be isolated if they do not change tact.

According to the MPs, remarks by the two leaders are misconstrued as official position of the Deputy President.

"We told Murkomen that we will not allow him to destroy the chances of the DP Ruto ascending to presidency in 2022 through his careless remarks," said an MP in confidence.

The two particularly opposed the Mau Forest evictions carried out by the government in which they all serve.

At Mau, they condemned the evictions and even dared President Uhuru Kenyatta to visit the region and ascertain humanitarian situation.

Last month, Murkomen was also in the receiving end when he accused unnamed individuals within Office of the President for allegedly skimming to have Ruto blocked from 2022 race.
