1. Musyoka and Mutua

Musyoka and Mutua are among the most famous names in Ukambani. Musyoka is loved due to its links to the most powerful politician from Ukambani, Kalonzo Musyoka. He has held several top positions in Kenya including being a Vice President. His name means reincarnation of a dead family member.

On the other hand, Mutua is also a name currently linked to power. The Machakos governor Alfred Mutua is one of the many Kamba people who use it as a surname. Its traditional meaning is born after a long duration gestation.

2. Mbiti and Nzoka

These two baby boy names might not be well received after your child grows up. Their association with feared and hated animals might make your boy uncomfortable using it among his peers. Mbiti means hyena while Nzoka is the snake.

3. Nditi, Mbuku and Ndila

Girls deserve cute names. These three names might prove to be a challenge to accept after your girls learn about their traditional meaning. Nditi is a dog while Ndila is a Billy goat. The third name, Mbuku, is a hare.
