South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro on Sunday suffered a major blow after residents of Riosiri in his area of jurisdiction condemned his association with Tanga Tanga team.
Mr Osoro is a member of Tanga Tanga, a political group which is pushing for Deputy President William Ruto's State House bid in 2022.
"Sisi kama watu was South Mugirango tunataka kuambia Osoro ya kwamba sisi hatutaki hiyo takataka tanga tanga yake hapa kwetu (As the people of South Mugirango we want to tell MP Osoro that we don't want the rubbish tanga tanga movement here)," said a fuming resident Omweri Matara, in a video making rounds on social media.
Mr Omweri further confirmed that the people of South Mugirango are behind the historic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.
"We as the people of South Mugirango we are behind President Uhuru Kenyatta's government and the handshake," he stated.
He slammed the youthful lawmaker for insulting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i yet he is too young in the level of education, leadership and years.
