Elachi has vowed to humiliate the MCAs who voted to oust her in court.

The Nairobi Assembly Speaker maintains that MCAs voted to impeach her for her tough stand against corruption.

The Assembly Speaker claims that it was malicious for the MCAs to change the Standing Orders of the special sitting at the last minute in order to kick her out.

She also adds that the special sitting was meant to discuss issues facing Nairobi and not to impeach her.

“I shall battle and humiliate them in court,” the embattled Nairobi Assembly said as quoted by Citizen Digital.

On Thursday, 103 MCAs out of 122 in a special sitting voted to impeach Elachi.

The embattled Nairobi Speaker has been accused of allegedly contravening the House Standing Orders.

The MCAs also accuses Elachi of allegedly intimidating MCAs and county assembly staff.
