Renowned gospel artist and Groove award winner Fenny Kerubo lost her father at Tabaka Mission Hospital in South Mugirango on Saturday.
According to her brother Dennis Onyamo, Mr Meshack Ragira Onyamo had his last breath three hours after leaving theater room where his second leg was amputated.
"Dad just took three hours after leaving theater. He died thereafter and doctors could do little to help him," he said.
Ms Kerubo had jetted in from Nigeria recently and took on her Facebook to wish her father quick recovery following the surgery.
"Get wel Daddy, two years ago, one of your legs was amputated, it's so sad that the other one is going to be amputated too. Umbali huu nimefika ni kwa ajili ya ushauri wako. Nakuombea uponyaji wa haraka daddy," she posted.
"We promised mum that you will at home soon but now you too as different route Dad. You didn't tell us bye.. as we all watched you travelling. We will miss your advice Father Meshack Onyamo Ragira, all your prophecy about us all it came true but where are you to eat the fruits of it?.Safiri salama msalimu Maulana..tutaonana badae," posted dennis on Sunday.
Onyamo is historically known as a die hard radio fan from his tender age. Funeral programme is currently underway and the family will brief the public.
