Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has assured residents of his commitment to deliver the development pledges he made in the run up to last year's general elections.
Speaking to journalists at the Kiambu Level Five Hospital on Wednesday, Waititu said his government is on course in terms of service delivery.
The Governor asked residents not to listen to people claiming that he is unable to deliver services.
The Kiambu county boss said that much development has been realised since he took office in August last year, adding that he is focused on ensuring better service delivery to Kiambu people.
"We are working and Kiambu people will start to see the fruits of the projects we have been launching soon," he said.
Waititu claimed that certain people are using the media to portray his government negatively.
"We know their tricks and we will not fall to them, our agenda is to see Kiambu people get quality services," added the Governor.
He noted that some people have started campaigns and lobbying for 2022 to send him packing, adding that he will not be intimidated.
Waititu said he signed a five-year contract with Kiambu people to deliver services, and promised to honour his pledges and shame critics.
Governor Waititu has been on the spot over deteriorating services at the county's public hospitals and health facilities.
He has since blamed the health crisis on delays by the National Treasury to disburse funds to the county.
