The Makueni pastor who is accused of defiling a sixteen-year-old girl and impregnating her was today charged before Makueni high court.
The pastor, Onesmus Mutemwa denied the charges leveled against him.
He is accused of deceiving the class eight girl and defiling her in Utaati village, Kaiti sub-county Makueni county.
The girl alleged that the pastor dragged her to his house located at the church compound as she came to clean the church.
He told her not to reveal owing his position in the society.
That's until her mother noticed her three month pregnancy that she was forced to spill the beans.
The court asked the accused to pay a Sh 500,000 bond which he was unable to raise.
Due to that, the court ordered for the man to be remanded.
Despite being arrested for over a week ago, the suspect had not been arraigned before the court, something that had started to raise eyebrows.
Leaders and residents started questioning why the suspect had not been charged despite evidence of defilement.
