At Kisauni on Sunday, Ruto accused Odinga of hiding in handshake to force him out of Jubilee.

But through ODM Director of elections Junet Mohammed, Raila insists that he is prepared to face Ruto and 'will humble him when the time comes'.

"Time for campaigns has not come. We are prepared for him. His early campaigns means nothing to us at all.

"We have seen people who start early and don't finish the race. When that time comes, we shall show him what ODM is made of," fired Mr. Junet.

The DP has expressed uncertainty in the handshake between his boss Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga but the latter insists he 'was not part of the deal'.

"We have heard him talking about the handshake but the truth is, he was not part of it. It was between people who ran for the top office," Junet added.

Over the weekend, a section of ODM legislators mounted pressure on Raila to declare interest in 2022 bid, a move he has however approached with cold feet.

Mr. Ruto, who is keen to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, said that he is also ready to handle Raila.
