During the reshuffle, the President appointed KNEC chairman and former University of Nairobi vice-chancellor Prof George Magoha as the new Education cabinet secretary replacing Amb Amina Mohammed who was reassigned sports docket.

In a statement on Twitter,  Homabay County Women representative Gladys Wanga congratulated Prof Magoha on his appointment and gave him the first assignment he should do, that is, not to arrest Higher Education Loan Board (HELB) defaulters as suggested by former CS Amina.

"Congratulations Prof George Albert Omore Magoha on your appointment as CS Education. Chapa Kazi sasa don't (do the work now) order the arrest of HELB defaulters," reads a statement on Twitter by Homabay county women representative Gladys Wanga.

CS Amina was recently in the news after announcing a possible involvement of crime busters to catch HELB loan defaulters.
