Self-proclaimed prophetess Mary Akatsa popularly known as 'Mummy' of the Jesuralem Church of Christ located in Nairobi's Kawangware area claims she is an enemy of many city preachers.
Akatsa says that some city preachers hate her for preaching the truth.
The city prophetess says that her teachings which are opposed by many city preachers have many at times, landed her in trouble.
She claims that she is resented for castigating city preachers who she accuses of demanding money and material tokens from their followers.
According to the city preacher, there have been alleged attempts by some city preachers to have her killed.
"They feel threatened by my teachings that castigates hypocrisy and greediness and they see me as a threat to their commercialized preachings," Akatsa claims.
The Kawangware-based preacher purports that she has survived assassinations many times.
"They sometimes send gunmen to the church to kill me but because I have God they (gunmen) often confess their evil plans," she says.
Akatsa recounts that in 2017, her enemies sent 'terrorists' to eliminate her but the plan backfired since God exposed the enemies.
Akatsa says that she will not stop preaching the gospel.
"Preaching is what God sends me to do and people who don't like me should live me alone to do the work of God," she avers.
The prophetess wants city preachers to change their ways and preach the true Gospel of Christ and stop running after monetary material.
Akatsa's church is known for many things including beating up worshippers who come for service late.
In June 1988, there were claims that Jesus was spotted at the Kawangware church.
It, however, emerged that the man was not Jesus but an Asian missionary on a world tour.
