Musanda was charged with an offence of peddling narcotics at a Jomo Kenyatta International Airport court on June 17.

Asset Recovery Agency (ARA) has taken to High Court to ask for the novelisation of Musanda's property; saloon car, money in her bank accounts and her Public Service Vehicles as property acquired from criminal activity, drug dealing.

ARA is tasked by the law to search, identify and apply for the forfeiture of the property acquired from criminal activities.

In court papers, ARA argues that such property must be nabbed by the state since it only benefits individuals and has a negative effect on the economy.

"Unless the orders sought are granted, the economic advantage derived from the commission of crimes will continue to benefit a few to the disadvantage of national security, interest, economy, and general interest,” ARA court papers read.

It further clarifies that Musanda has not issued a prudent reason on the source of her massive wealth.

High Court judge John Onyiego issued a standing order that requires Musanda to submit her logbooks of five buses and a saloon car to the Directorate of Criminal investigations (DCI).
