A section of county leaders has accused the County Executive Committees (CECs) of abandoning the needs of residents and using county funds to enrich themselves.

Similar sentiments came from Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA), chair Odoyo Owido who claims that the CECs have been using their public offices to satisfy "their selfish interests".

He made the remarks while addressing a fundraiser at Mititi Secondary School in Kasipul on Saturday.
