Murkomen has been among the politicians who have been popularising the DP's bid and urging the nation to elect him the next Head of State after President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Murkomen noted that Ruto has no plans of causing any sort of trouble in the instance that his bid flops, saying that he will accept the outcome and retire from politics.

The senator was speaking during a fundraiser cum political rally in Nakuru's Wakulima Market on Friday.

The Senate majority leader warned people making claims that 'something will happen if Ruto doesn't become president' against making such reckless comments, reports the Standard.

On his part, Muranga Senator Irungu Kangata rubbished the widespread claims that things are no longer rosy between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto, noting that they remain the best of friends.

Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika said that politicians allied to the ruling Jubilee Party will go all out in dealing with outsiders trying to rock the party.
