The ex-MP who vied for the Busia gubernatorial seat in the 2017 elections decamped from the party in the run-up to the polls after missing out on the ODM party ticket.

Speaking on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha show on Tuesday morning, Otuoma said he remains uncertain on whether or not he will rejoin the Raila Odinga-led side.

"Bado sijaingia chama kingine maana uchaguzi haujafika. Tutajua njia mpya uchaguzi ukifika (I've not joined any other party because the elections are yet to come. I will make my decision at the right moment)," he said.

He added that there is no bad blood between him and the ODM party or Raila, insisting that he solely moved out in protest, after allegedly being rigged out in the party primaries.

"Sina shida na mtu, kilichonifkuza ni uchaguzi lakini tumeamua kuganga yajayo (I don't have a grudge against anyone in the party. We've all agreed its time to concentrate on the future)," he added.

Otuoma lost to Governor Sospeter Ojaamong who was vied for the seat on an ODM party ticket.
