Mr Oburu is the elder brother of Raila and currently is serving as MP in East Africa Legislative Assembly in Arusha, reports the Nation.

While confirming the incident, Oburu said: "The security situation in Bondo town has soared to high levels. The thugs raided my home and made away with all the chickens in my farm,” he said.

“They also raided the home of the nominated member of the Siaya County Assembly Tabu Oswere and also stole her chicken stock, including other valuables. The other day thugs butchered an innocent man – my own farm attendant – and dumped his body at a nearby farm,” he said. https://nairobinews.nation.co.ke/news/burglars-railas-brothers-home-steal-1000-chicken/

It is not the first time Odinga's family is raided by robbers given that early this year, Raila's home was raided in Bondo in a similar way like that of Oburu's.

Dr Oginga served as Bondo MP from 1994 when his father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga died to 2013 when he lost his seat after a failed stab at gubernatorial seat.

He was nominated to parliament for five years before joining EALA early this year.
