The National Assembly Leader of Majority has several times found himself in trouble over some of his political statements and opinions.

Duale who is never shy of speaking his mind once engaged in an ugly twitter brawl with Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris.

The beef between the two leaders began when Passaris allegedly went to Parliament and Duale asked her to greet him.

Passaris claimed that she refused to greet Duale on grounds that he was disrespecting ODM Party leader Raila Odinga.

“I told him (Duale) that I can’t greet men who disrespect my party leader,” Passaris said.

The Nairobi Women Rep then went to twitter and wrote, “Can someone please tell me how old this man (Duale) is? What is his level education? what is his upbringing? What does he consume? I don’t get him.”

Duale who is said to have been angered by Passaris refusal to greet him replied in a tweet saying, “To Passaris, am 50 years old, with decent humble Islamic upbringing, went to national schools and known universities, married to a decent wife with five sons. That’s Aden Duale. Am sorry I have no space (sic),”

“After you undergo the 12th Parliament orientation, we can then have a parliamentary leaders discourse. I am not ready for anything else,” Duale tweeted to Passaris.

The Nairobi Women Rep tweeted back, saying that Duale is 'boy toy’.

“Duale is younger than me. I don’t go out with ‘boy toys’, I go out with mature men,” she tweeted.

The ugly twitter brawl between the two leaders elicited  reactions from Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) with some making fun of it.

Duale and Passaris  are said to have later reconciled in the spirit of the March 9 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
