A 45-year-old woman is nursing injuries after she was beaten by her daughter-in-law over a man at Kenyamware on Tuesday.
Ann Gesaka was attacked by her daughter-in-law, Malikia Moraa after Moraa caught her in a compromising situation with her lover.
“Mrs. Gesaka was not blessed with a male child. She brought Moraa to live with her so that she can get children to continue with the lineage.
"Moraa got a man but, her mother-in-law has been seeing him so that they can have sex,” said a local Geoffrey Ongori.
Ongori said the man, Samuel Mokaya came to check on Moraa but, Mrs. Gesaka persuaded him to enter her house before proceeding to Moraa’s house.
“Mokaya came to see me but, my mother-in-law decided to divert him to her house. I found them seated closely kissing each other.
"I could not control my temper, I beat my mother-in-law and kicked the rogue man out of the house,” said Moraa.
Area assistant chief Philip Omweri confirmed the incident and said the man has been going to the homestead to see Moraa but, he ended up falling in love with Moraa’s mother-in-law.
Omweri said men should stick to one woman to avoid embarrassment and unnecessary drama in the village.
