Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has hailed what he described as Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho's courage in responding to the assassination plot allegations levelled against him.
Speaking on Tuesday on Citizen TV in a wide-ranging panel discussion, the outspoken legislator said that the embattled PS was justified in rubbishing the assassination claims.
"I want to agree 10o per cent with PS Kibicho. I thank him for his courage because many would have said, "Let me not respond to that story, " the Homa Bay lawmaker said.
Wanga argued that politicians were attacking Kibicho because they thought that he would not respond to the allegations.
Kibicho on Monday branded the assassination plot claims as useless and baseless when he fielded questions from members of the press.
The PS is alleged to have been part of a secret scheme to assassinate the Deputy President Dr William Ruto.
Civil servants in the Uhuru led administration has, by and large, tried to steer clear in responding to politically-charged allegations and comments.
Kibicho's strong response broke the tradition of civil servants publicly taking politicians head-on.
The assassination plot saga continues to hog the news agenda with sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) carrying out investigations into the matter.
