Renown political analyst Herman Manyora has blasted politicians for taking Kenyans for granted by spending resources on cheap and wasteful conferences which do not have any bearing in the country's growth.
Taking to his twitter page, Manyora said, politicians gathered in Kisumu are a well to do individuals carrying out mandates poor Kenyans can do the best.
"Well fed men and women are gathered in Kisumu to do that which the poor do best. This useless, wasteful conference is happening when millions of Kenyans are starving," he tweeted.
His remarks come on the sidelines of the legislative summit in Kisumu for the Senate in which Members of the County Assembly and Senate are expected to delve in the developments and achievements of devolution, its challenges, success and failures.
The analyst took issue with the leaders for 'exploiting Kenyans' with such summits that do not alleviate poverty, create employment and putting food on the table of the common citizens.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is bound to open the two-day conference summit today (Monday) in Kisumu.
