Rejection is never easy for anyone. You may have been optimistic about something then it does not work out as you planned.
There are different ways we all deal with rejection. Some people use it to their advantage while others become shattered.
For example, successful people have learnt how to cope with rejection the hard way.
Below are some ways successful people deal with rejection:
1. Take time to feel bad about it
Rejection is a terrible feeling, and no one is ever prepared for it.
It is understandable when one wants to mourn.
As much as you say you do not care about it, the hurt is still there, and you need to deal with the feeling to help you move on.
2. Reflection
This is very important for you to heal. Try and reflect on how the rejection went down.
Is there a particular thing you did not do or something you said that lead to the rejection? Were you fully prepared?
Those are some of the questions you need to ask your self before bouncing back.
3. Do not give up yet
Rejection may come along with some resentment to the idea pitched.
Just because your idea was rejected do not give up.
Get back to it and work on all the mistakes that might have led to the rejection and pitch the idea again. You never know.
