Just a day to President Uhuru Kenyatta's anticipated tour to Nyanza on Thursday, Deputy President William Ruto seems to be shifting blame to Raila Odinga over Jubilee wrangles.

For months now, the Jubilee party has been rocked in internal wrangles and Uhuru's tour could escalate the matter.

A section of leaders allied to Ruto continued with their onslaught against the former Prime Minister who they accuse of plotting a fallout.

"We believe Uhuru will support Ruto in 2022. The president has a debt that he has to pay Ruto," said Nandi Governor Stephen Sang.

Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu added: "Be careful with Raila. He has a ploy of planning bad things. We shall vote Ruto in Mt. Kenya."

But Bahti MP Kimani Ngunjiri was even more specific, accusing Raila of taking advantage of handshake with Uhuru to paralyze Jubilee party.

"We are looking for votes for the DP in 2022. Jubilee was in peace until Raila came in. He has masters degree in propaganda and confusion."

Throughout his rallies and meetings across the country, Uhuru has publicly warned leaders opposing the handshake, insisting that he is keen to leave a united country upon retirement.

Interestingly, Ruto's camp has viciously opposed the handshake with some leaders openly challenging Uhuru to declare his support for Ruto.

Although Ruto has avoided handshake debate, his allies particularly Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen have openly accused Raila of working with Uhuru to undermine the DP's 2022 chances.
