Transport and Infrastructure Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Chris Obure has been condemned for lecturing Kisii Governor James Ongwae over sluggish development in the county.
Kisii County ODM chairman Samuel Omwando said Obure lost his gubernatorial bid in the 2017 polls and should, therefore, keep off the county's politics.
Speaking at Nyamataro area on Tuesday, Omwando termed Obure as a confused man who is trying to remain relevant in politics.
"There is no way a failure will come tell Ongwae who traversed the county to seek for votes that there is slow development in Kisii County. Obure needs to know that Ongwae was re-elected because of his good track record," said Omwando.
The vocal politician said Ongwae's work is visible and Kisii residents are proud of his work.
"Despite the few challenges Ongwae's government is going through such as corruption, development in the county is going on well. Obure should focus on his Chief Administrative Secretary job which he got out of sympathy," he stated.
Omwando challenged Kisii residents to ignore Obure and any other politician who is out to criticise Governor Ongwae's work.
