Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has warned county executive members against laziness.
Maangi said development in the county will be realized when county executive members and workers in various departments will dedicate their time to serve the electorates.
"Workers must work around the clock to provide quality services to our people. Lazy workers and those boycotting job will not be condoned since we have other qualified people to be hired for the job," he said.
The second in command in Kisii county urged workers to keep off politics and ensure they are working according to the agreement they made.
"County executive members must distance themselves from politics and focus in work, development. Governor Ongwae and I are development oriented," he added.
He challenged the county assembly members to initiate active public participation when funding for various development projects in their respective wards.
"MCAs should work hard with an aim to spur economic growth for Kisii County to become an economic powerhouse," said Maangi.
Maangi, who has declared an interest to vie for the Kisii County gubernatorial seat in 2022, said he will only talk about 2022 general elections when the right time comes.
