Police in Makueni have launched investigations into the mysterious death of a county assembly employee who had gone missing for two days.
Makueni County police commander Joseph Ole Napeiyan said the official was found dead inside his house at Shimo estate in Wote town.
‘’The officer went missing since Sunday only for him to be found dead in his house,’’ Ole Napeiyan said.
He addressed the press in his office on Tuesday.
Ole Napeiyan said the deceased's body had no physical injuries and his house was locked from outside when he was found dead.
He said the cause of the civil servant's death had not been established.
Ole Napeiyan, however, disclosed that police had launched investigations into the incident.
‘’His house was locked from outside. His body had no physical injuries, we cant establish the cause of his death for now but the police are on it. No stone will be left unturned until we unravel the incident,’’ he said.
The body was removed to Makueni Referral Hospital's mourtuuary for preservation awaiting post mortem.
