Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has 'messed' up with Nyamira County residents following the transfer of Isaiah Nakoru who has been serving as the commissioner in the region.
A section of Nyamira locals condemned Matiang'i saying Nakoru was doing a good job.
"Nakoru has been friendly to Nyamira residents and his transfer caught us by a surprise. Nakoru is the reason crime has gone down in Nyamira. It is a big mess Matiang'i has done to us," said Jared Makori.
Charles Osore urged Matiang'i to transfer police officers in the area who have served in the county for long.
"Nakoru ensured there is discipline among police officers. His transfer will now make the officers indiscipline. Let the Cs consider transferring police officers who have served in the county for several years," said Osore.
Emily Mokeira protested Nakoru's transfer saying Matiang'i new choice should not be burden to common locals.
"It is my prayer that the new choice Matiang'i has made for the people of Nyamira as Nakoru's replacement will turn to be a burden to us. We are wishing Nakoru well," she noted.
