Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has fired warning shots at his political rivals days after the Supreme Court upheld his August 8, 2017 election victory.
Nyagarama said the political nemesis should keep off his work.
"I am happy that the will of Nyamira people was respected by the Apex court. Rivals will have no option rather than shutting their mouths to give me humble time to deliver," Nyagarama said.
He addressed the locals at Ekerenyo market in Nyamira County on Friday.
Nyagarama said he will work closely with the county assembly to develop all the wards in the region.
"I will ensure Nyamira has good roads, proper education, affordable health care and empowered youths, women as well as disabled persons," he added.
He urged the residents to give deaf ears to his political enemies who have been traversing the county spreading propaganda on him and his administration.
"Rivals instead of being development oriented, they have been busy telling lies about my government. The Supreme Court shamed them since they wanted a by-election yet Nyamira people elected me in good faith,"Nyagarama said.
Nyagarama said he won't condone lazy county workers to derail his development plans for the people of Nyamira.
