Opposition chief Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto have been asked to tolerate each other.
Speaking on Monday when he hosted Mining Cabinet Secretary John Munyes and other elected Kisii leaders in Tabaka Ward, during a public participation forum on the construction of a proposed soapstone centre, South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro said Raila and Ruto are national leaders who must tolerate one another.
The vocal politician said the continued political rivalry between the two leaders is not good for the country.
"The heated political war between Raila and Ruto is not good at all especially in the ongoing probe over the fake gold scam. I am appealing to the two leaders to consider embracing tolerance for the sake of peace in this country," he stated.
According to Osoro, this is not the right time for the two leaders to throw words at each other.
"Raila nurtured DP Ruto in politics and therefore I don't see the reason as to why the two leaders can hate one another. I urge the two top leaders to embrace peace," stated Osoro.
Osoro is serving his first term in office after having been successfully elected on a Kenya National Congress (KNC) Party ticket in the August 2017 polls.
