2018 was a year of change in Kenya. It is the only year that witnessed a lot of changes in the police department. New faces in the top police posts changed many things. Mr. George M. Kinoti was appointed Directorate of Criminal Investigations while Mr. Noordin Haji was appointed Director of Public Prosecutions.

They arrested some of the top personalities in Kenya who include:

1.  Governor Okoth ObadoGovernor Okoth Obado [Source: milimo Twitter]

Migori Governor Okoth Obado was arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno. He stayed in police custody for close to a month. 

2. DCJ Philomena MwiluDCJ Mwilu [Source: milimo Twitter]

Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu arrest shocked many Kenyans. However, anything was possible with the current DPP and DCI. She got herself in hot soup after allegedly failing to pay her taxes and misuse of office. 

3. Evans KideroEvans Kidero [Source: milimo Twitter]

The former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero has found himself in police cells for various reasons. He has been accused of corruption cases which saw his home raided. He was arrested and even stayed in police custody for several days. 

4. Alfred KeterAlfred Keter [Source: milimo Twitter]

Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter was arrested and even stayed in police custody for three days. He was taken in after allegedly forging documents which were used to withdraw money from the Central Bank of Kenya. 

5. Governor Sospeter OjaamongSospeter Ojaamong [Source: milimo Twitter]

Busia County Governor Sospeter Ojaamong got arrested for alleged misuse of public funds and corruptions cases. It was revealed that he participated squandering over Sh8 million which was never accounted for.
