This year's version of the 2018 Mombasa International ASK Show has kicked-off at Mkomani show ground in Nyali with over 200 exhibitors participating.
The County Government of Mombasa has been preparing for the 5-day event which ends on Sunday (September 2nd) in conjunction with the Agricultural Society of Kenya to ensure that it is a success.
Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is expected at the show today (Wednesday August 29) as the chief guest alongside other local leaders and Agriculture stakeholders.
According to the Public Relations officer from the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (Kemfri) Jane Kiguta, this year's show largely focuses on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four agenda; which is manufacturing, universal healthcare, affordable housing and food security.
Themed ‘'Promoting Innovation and Technology in Agriculture and Trade’' President Kenyatta who is already back from his Washington DC tour is expected to officially open the show on Thursday.
