A former popular presenter is among people who landed state jobs in President Uhuru Kenyatta's latest appointments.
Doris Aburi, formerly with Royal Media's Egesa FM will sit in Sony Sugar board for a period of three years.
Last year Aburi contested Kisii County Women Rep seat on a Jubilee ticket but lost to Janet Ong'era of ODM.
Throughout the campaigns, Ms. Aburi was among chief campaigners of President Uhuru Kenyatta in both Kisii and Nyamira Counties.
She had resigned from Egesa FM months to 2017 polls where she used to work with her husband, Williams Atandi.
She is one of the only lucky campaigners from Gusii to land the job given big names such as Waiter Nyambati were omitted.
At Nakuru State House last year in October, Uhuru promised to reward most of political losers from both Nyamira and Kisii regions.
