As Kenyans continue to react following an incident where a man in Nakuru was arrested for preparing 'mutura' from cat meat, it has now emerged that there are rogue business people who had tried this before.

On October 12, 2016, a man in Mombasa was caught slaughtering a cat.  

The man, who was identified as Raphael Nyawe, confessed killing cats to prepare samosa for his clients. The suspect was pounced on slaughtering a cat in Kongowea area. 

When he was asked what his intentions were as far as the incident was concerned, the man revealed that he had been hired by a businessman in the area who made samosas to slaughter the animals for him. 

In the shocking revelation, he said that he was being paid Sh10 for every cat he slaughtered. 

Residents from the area lamented that they were worried over the incident because it was an indication the rogue businessman could even prepare samosas from rats.

They also pleaded with the relevant authorities to ensure that the suspects are arrested and charged in court.
