Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko has vowed to continue his fight against corruption and impunity in Nairobi.
Speaking during a show at Radio Maisha on Monday Morning, Sonko noted that nothing will stop him from fighting corruption and other impunity in the city.
''Earlier today during @radiomaisha breakfast show interview. I won't relent on the fight against impunity and land grabbing in Nairobi despite resistance by those involved in murky deals and illegal acquisition of property,'' said Mike Sonko in a tweet.
The City boss has been on the headlines from last week over various corruption and criminal accusations.
The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission revealed various alleged transactions into the bank account of the flashy politician.
They alleged that Sonko has been involving in corruption deals with various companies that work with the Nairobi County Government. Sonko was also accused of escaping from prison at Shimo La Lewa prison.
However, in a tweet, Sonko rubbished off all these claims saying that his enemies are using all means to make sure he falls but he will not allow them to end him.
''Do not allow your challenges to affect you, including your past. They're now claiming that I'm required in prison to serve a sentence that was reduced to a period already served by High Court criminal appeal no 80 of 2001. Check link for details,'' Sonk wrote concerning the accusation that he ran away from prison.
