What will 2019 bring to your life that didn’t happen in 2018?  You slept, woke up, and went to work in 2018 as usual but you have not changed, except for putting on three extra kilos over the festive season.

Nonetheless, 2019 should be your year of action. It all starts with a burning desire full of images of your successful self which you feed to your soul.

Stoke its flames so high that you won’t be able to sit back in your chair and take it easy when you ought to be making the best version that you could ever be. Here are three very important tips to help you set 2019’s resolutions.

1.Simplify complex projects

Break down projects into smaller activities. In farming, you clear the field.  Then dig up small sections on regular basis.  In no time, you have done an acre. How do I know this is doable?

I have done it now for a decade and gained food sufficiency and sustainability.

2. Set your priorities right

Health and fitness is a privilege as well as your right but keeping fit is an obligation you cannot run away from.

Should you have one of your resolutions as keeping fit, align your priorities in a way that physical exercise comes on top of the list.

Should it be anything else other than health fitness, align your priorities in a way that allows you to achieve set goals; from the most important to the least important.

3. Avoid procrastinating

It’s easy to spend time on activities that are easy to handle but it takes tough luck to get through daunting tasks which you do not give your all to complete.

I dreamt of setting up a house office before building my upcountry house. It took meningitis bout to get me back on track to pursue that dream. I was in a comma for two weeks.

I woke up in the silent world of the deaf and thought, I shall never get over this one but I still managed to put it up after procrastinating severally.

Procrastination will follow you around in studies, workplace, business, marriage, relationship and social life.

Drop the habit now, or it will drop you six feet under. Steer clear from procrastination.

With the above tips, set your resolutions for the next 12 months.
