Over 600,000 candidates sat for KCSE exams between October and November 2018 across the country.

Last year, KCSE exam results were released on December 20, with this year’s results expected to come out earlier.

It will be the first time for Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Amina Mohamed to release KCSE results.

At such a time last year, she was Foreign Affairs CS while the Education docket was under Fred Matiang’i, now Internal Security CS.

Here are three Kisumu Schools to watch out for ahead of the results announcement.

1. Maseno School

The school is expected to be among the top performers not only in Kisumu County, but the country at large. Last year, the school was ranked 1st in the devolved unit, and 33rd nationally with a mean score of 61.8.

2. Kisumu Girls and Boys High School

Kisumu Girls is the best ladies school in the county. Last year, the school was ranked second in the devolved unit, and 58th nationally with a mean score of 57.7.

The latter (Kisumu Boys) was ranked 4th in the county and 94th nationally last year.

3. Chemelil Sugar Academy

It is fast rising as one of the best schools in the county. It was ranked third in KCSE in Kisumu last year, and 78th nationally with a mean score of 55.6.
