Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i has declared that he supports opposition chief Raila Odinga's push for a referendum.
The MP while speaking on Friday at Ibeno area said necessary changes to the constitution should be made to curb election chaos in future.
"ODM Party leader has my support in the referendum calls. Changes should be made to the constitution to stop witnessing election violence in this country," he said.
The lawmaker maintained that local politicians should shun divisive politics and ensure they lay down strategies to clinch various political seats in 2022.
"Those spreading falsehood about the leaders who are in office must know propaganda won't make them win elections in 2022. My advice is that aspiring leaders should be putting strategies to clinch political seats in 2022," he noted.
According to Tong'i, Interior Cs Fred Matiang'i must ensure local leaders inciting locals are apprehended and arraigned in court.
Tong'i who was elected on a Jubilee party ticket during the last year's polls.
The MP has been drumming up support for Deputy President William Ruto 2022 bid.
